Anchors Aweigh 5k & Fun Run

The Anchor's Aweigh 5k & 1-Mile Fun Run is a family-friendly community event designed to bring together runners, walkers, families, school groups, athletic teams, businesses, and community organizations—all while supporting the Chapin High School Navy JROTC program.

Kids Obstacle Course - FREE

Children 10 and under and enjoy a fun obstacle course where they collect prizes at each station. 

Supporting Our Cadets

Proceeds from this year's event will help provide financial assistance for cadets attending an educational field trip to Charleston, South Carolina.

During the trip, cadets will have the opportunity to:

• Spend the night aboard the retired U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Yorktown

• Explore Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

• Visit Fort Moultrie and Fort Sumter

• Visit and Tour The Citadel

For many cadets, financial assistance is essential to making this educational experience possible. Your participation helps ensure that more students have the opportunity to take part.

More Than a Race 

Chapin High School Navy JROTC cadets are active members of the local community throughout the year. They regularly volunteer at community events, support local organizations, participate in ceremonies and parades, and give their time to service projects throughout Chapin and the surrounding area.
